Advertising & Promotional "Official" Post Cards, of the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition
|
At the time of the AYPE, there were no radios or televisions. Advertising was done on paper. Man's affinity for collecting and saving odds and ends has preserved the works of a by-gone industry. You will find more information on AYPE advertising on the pages of this site than you can find on any internet sites in the WORLD !!!

| A question for the Ladies. Have you one of them? THE PERFECT MAN - There is a man who never drinks, nor smokes, nor chews, nor swears; who never gambles, never bowls, and shuns all sinful snares --- He's paralized! (sic) -- There is a man who never does anything that is not right; His wife can tell just where he is at morning, noon and night -- He's dead! -- Office and Salesrooms of The Brunswick-Balke-Collender Co. -- 200-202-204 First Avenue South, Seattle, Wash. - ALASKA-YUKON-PACIFIC EXPOSITION, SEATTLE 1909 |

| Dear Folks, I have just seen the Alberta Government exhibit at the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition. Say! They must have a great Province. Wheat goes as high as 60 bushels to the acre and from 30 to 40 is common. Oats yield from 40 to 100 bushels and Barley from 30 to 50 bushel. You should see the imitation wheat field. the grand display native and tame grasses and also Clovers and Alfalfa .Vegetables do well there. The climate is ideal for health. Coal is found in all parts of the Province. Coal, oil and Natural gas are also found there. If you are interested write to the Department of Agriculture, Edmonton or the Secretary of any Alberta Board of Trade for literature |

Allen Dale Employees to Celebrate at Fair Eighty-five employees of the Allen Dale cafeterias in Seattle will have a gala time at the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition Seattle Day, September 6, at the expense of the proprietor. The fun will begin in the morning, when the employees, attired in costumes of flaming colors, will sally forth to join the big union parade. At the conclusion of the pageant, they will board a special car for the exposition grounds. Dale has arranged a program of entertainment and the men and women will have an opportunity to see all the sights free of charge. Seattle Day is arranged to boom Seattle, and the cafeteria employees will be pledged to do their full share of boosting. -- Contributed by Erik P. Smith
